As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I was delighted to have a chance to work on Pride of the Déise's branding and communications. Using illustration and type to communicate the spirit of inclusivity that defines our community.
The revamped logo stands as a symbol of togetherness, incorporating various type weights and styles with tight kerning. To reflect the rich tapestry of our community, held together closely.
As part of pride we run a short film festival called Queer Vision. The identity for this was created to harmonize with the pride logo, Inspired by the aperture of a camera lens, and the drama of drag make up. This simple logo is memorable and adaptable.
On social media the graphic design was simple and bold. Mixing hand drawn elements with blocky sans serif type. Gradients with colors taken from the pride flag are used as a background to soften the harsh lines.
