This year I illustrated an image for Pride of the Déise. This design was used for the News & Star supplement and our merchandise. The design is based on the Ross tapestry. A famous tapestry depicting the marriage of Aoife and Richard De Clare (Strongbow) that took place in Waterford city. I reimagined this as a queer wedding. There are two versions of the design with Strongbow marrying another Strongbow and Aoife marrying another Aoife. These designs were printed on vintage tie dye shirts and black tshirts to raise funds for Pride of the Déise.
